| Title | AIRPORT SECURITY HEIGHTENED AFTER BOMB ATTACK |
| Date | 6th January 2010 02:58pm |
Air passengers travelling to the US are facing delays in the wake of the failed bomb attack on a flight to Detroit.
Passengers heading across the Atlantic are being told to arrive at airports early and carry a single piece of hand luggage.
After check in and security, extra bag and body searches are taking place.
For the last hour of flights, passengers are being told to remain seated with nothing on their laps and no access to lavatories or overhead lockers.
